Qualia

With all of the images that go uncaptured between when my camera blinks
I begin to think
Of the moments that I missed from staring in different directions
Would my life be the same as my reflections
Slightly parallel in different dimensions
Would lie tensions
Be wide enough
For me to believe the bluffs
Of false prophets
Would I have thicker pockets
From financial literacy or thievery
Would ny sight be as blessed as what fate’s weavers see
A simple push of molecules being rearranged
In a different moment could’ve changed
Who I am today
Whether it came earlier or with delay
I hope that my beliefs would remain intact
Because of the pact
I’ve made with Firefly
To chase each other, even if we die
Into the following life
Because I can’t imagine anyone else being my wife
