Liter Bug

Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

I was manifesting my own metamorphosis without even knowing
Through the thoughtlessness I was showing
When imitating a great in his prime
I must admit I’m…
Not as great with tossing balled up paper in the trash bin
As Kobe had been
So I carelessly littered til the pavement became familiar with my writing
And all of the troubles I was fighting
It responded by building blocks
That’d shield me from the bottom of rocks
And it provided squares to declare that shot clocks shouldn’t be around
Intent was implemented when tales rose about the cracks in the ground
No harm would come to my mother
No chalk should outline the image of my brother
And no shots would be took
My pages would stay in my book
To provide reflection for the soul within
Now I refuse to liter again
