Abandoned where others fought to die
And all that she can question is “why?”
Did she fall for yet another lie?
Did he depart without saying bye?
She saw greatness in his eyes from afar
And figured he’d transcend into a star
Or at least a leader
Who’d provide parables in scripts for readers
Bleeders hearts are fading in his absence
Corpses are the composers these lost souls grab since
They’re the closest things to cling to when being dragged through this new found mud
With hands in her eyes, she sat where he last drew blood
She questioned if she should bother
Making him out to be a martyr
Like the last one who died
Not for the sake of their own pride
But for the people who were in need
Of the plants they’d seed
This bright idea was met with a surprise
Suddenly, everyone’s eyes
Were where her feet lies
A flower began to rise
And with it sat
The man who she just questioned where he was at
His smile was almost as bright as she shined
He said “it looks like it took your light and the tears I shed combined
To grow this fake lawn into a garden”
Now that allies hearts have softened, the enemies will surely harden
Together they rose
To oppose their foes
She put a spotlight on shady activities
And with fresh ink, he released those who were held in captivity
