The participation of precipitation from those with crocodile tears
Have made it difficult for her to navigate through the air
Too many dark clouds
From those who aren’t allowed
To touch the rays of the sun
What has she done?
She stepped away from everyone she’s ever known
Just to get closer to the tone
That echoed those three words
It may seem absurd
But she feels like those words could lead her to the future she desires
Because unlike her interactions with liars
Those words reassured her that she isn’t alone
That she was seen, or better yet, shown
That her efforts were acknowledged in the end
Perhaps she could defend
Her choices
If the one who echoed those words could guide her to where her voice is
And if these dark clouds would just disappear
That’s when she got the idea to rebuttal the negativity whispered in her ear
With the confidence the echo gave
Though terrified, she remained brave
Until she made it to the ground
Gleefully she flew to the origin of the sound
But it couldn’t be found amongst the dead
Suddenly, a question ran through her head
Was it true?
When she heard the words, “I believe you”
