The Giving Tree

Is a children’s book
That still gives me a big smile.
It’s bright green cover
Still gives a perfect shine.
The cherry red apple still catches my eye
Whenever I see the book
Every once in a while.
The little boy who grew up with the best tree
Was something I always wished happened to me.
