I’d get up while the sky was dark
Roll out of bed
Roll up the spliff
And give it a spark
Put on my uniform
Hop on the 6 train
With some mantra like:
“It’s 4:30am, time to get that bread”
I brew the coffee
I set up the pastries
And have a smile on my face
All before 6am
But that time went quick
And before you had that meeting
With the dude who was selling his start-up
The first person you saw was me
Handing you a cup of
WAKE THAT ASS UP!!
